| I had a motorcycle cop come into work today so i decided to ask him whether lane filtering/splitting was illegal .. he said
"Not really, BUT if you cause an accident you will be at fault because you have created your own lane"
So there you go fellas... filterrr awayyyyy

| | i was knocked off my bike (in an accident) while lane splitting and was deamed "not at fault" by the police and the insurance company. It took a while for the insurance company to come around but they eventually did. |

| Well until such time as its officially on the books as illegal.. Im gonna keep doing it.. cop in sight or not.. Surprisingly on the Gold Coast where I was living, I did it in front of cops all the time and never got bothered..

| Well, I was on mny way home last week, stopped in traffic, in my car. A motorcycle cop stops a few cars in front, then a motorcyclist splits the lanes, past him to the front of the queue, and the bike cop did nothing.
