Saturday 5 July, Merlo Coffee + Red Cross + BRC Red Ride for Life.

Merlo Coffee has joined with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service (ARCBS) to help encourage and facilitate much-needed blood donations. The third annual Merlo Coffee Red Ride for Life event will be held on Saturday 5 July to unite motorcycle enthusiasts from across South East Queensland to help support this vital community service.

Motorcyclists will converge at the Merlo Coffee Torrefazione in Bowen Hills at 9.00am to enjoy free coffee and a sausage sizzle before travelling in convoy to the Springwood Blood Donor Centre to make blood donations which will help save lives.

Merlo contacted BRC and we've offered to assist them in this cause and I know we can do it!!

Here you can find information about the requirements for giving blood.

Even if you can't donate, there is no harm in supporting the very worthy cause - remembering that motorcyclists are hugely over-represented in crash statistics.

Wow. You have to wait 12 months after your last tattoo before you can donate. Just FYI J-Cob, if you haven't read it, menstruating doesn't affect your ability to donate, so you should be right. Top Stuff
